Fondation EurActiv PoliTech is building on its practical know-how from the EMPOWER (Empowering citizens to influence the decision-making and policy formulation on environmental issues) trial project, one of the 2 eParticipation projects co-funded by the European Commission to lay the ground for the European Citizens’ Initiative’s successful implementation and take-off.

Fondation EurActiv PoliTech and its core partners have also been actively involved in ‘The ECI Digital Aspects Advisory Board’ led by Jan Linhart, founder of echo source e.V. (Germany), in the framework of PEP-Net (Pan European eParticipation Network), co-funded by the European Commission.

eMPOWER is aiming to motivate and strengthen the involvement of NGOs and citizens in the decision-making process on environmental issues at a National and European level by providing method and tools for supporting citizens’ participation and collection of signatures to promote relevant public initiatives and demands of civil society.
